Friends at Bethany ,

   I was surprised, honored and humbled that you wished to hold a reception to thank Dee and me for our several months of ministry with you.  It was my privilege to serve God and this fine congregation in this way.  The dinner you held for us on September 25 was greatly appreciated and your generous gifts were unexpected. 

   I am especially appreciative that the Administrative Council chose to name the fund that is designed to help pay for Christian Education and Youth Ministry at Bethany after me.  I cannot adequately express my thanks for that gift.  May it serve God and this congregation’s ministry well!

Dear Bethany Family,

   Your kind and caring expressions of sympathy are appreciated more than you know.  My brother’s passing at his young age was unexpected.  Once again you have greatly helped Susie and me in this difficult time with your outpouring of love.
