V.I.P. – “Volunteers
in Place”
A group of men meet at the church each Thursday morning to provide service
to Bethany. They pull weeds, trim
hedges, paint and handle minor repairs.

Several men in our congregation have a
passion for helping rebuild homes and churches through week-long work trips.
Christian Men's
Fellowship
The men of Bethany meet for dinner and
a program by a member of the Lakeland community on the first Wednesday of each
month. A catered dinner is served at
6:30 p.m. and often the women are invited to join them to share in their
outstanding programs.
Each September, the Bethany men join other Disciple men from around the state for a retreat at the Christian Church Conference in Silver Springs. A golf tournament usually precedes this 24 hour event of worship, speakers and fellowship.
Preparing Easter breakfast for the congregation (as an accompaniment to the children’s egg hunt) is always a fun time for the C.M.F. Pancakes, eggs, French toast, etc., often highlight their cooking skills.
