The women of the church offer hospitality to the congregation, its members and to the community.  They often sponsor receptions for special occasions, host dinners and luncheons, and prepare food for families in times of illness and death.

Christian Women's Fellowship
The women of Bethany meet on the third Wednesday evening of each month in a member’s home for study, devotional time, refreshments and fellowship.  The monthly studies focus on current mission work of the Disciples of Christ around the world as well as ways to increase the spiritual development of the C.W.F. members.

The C.W.F. is actively involved in numerous projects designed to help others:

• Preparing health kits and school kits for needy families
• Providing clothing and other items for the Rape Recovery Center
• Providing requested items for an elementary school
• Sponsoring Blanket Sunday, giving the congregation opportunities to make donations to purchase blankets for Church World Service
• Fund raisers include an annual garage sale and a soup/salad luncheon

Each November, the Florida Christian Women’s Fellowship holds a retreat for all Disciple women in the state at the Christian Church Conference Center in Silver Springs.  This weekend event features a guest speaker known in women’s work throughout the country, outstanding worship, workshops and time for fellowship.

Organized by Stonecroft Ministries.  A North Lakeland and South Lakeland group each meet monthly.

A multi-denominational women's Christian fellowship group active in Lakeland.
